Abroma radix MT is a homoeopathic tincture is made from the roots of Abroma augusta, which is known as Abroma radix. It is covered by Homoeopathic Pharmacopoeia of India. It was introduced by Dr. S. C. Ghose.

In homoeopathy, Acalypha indica MT is used mainly for incipient phthisis but it also covers dry cough with blood or low-grade fever, diarrhoea, jaundice and certain symptoms similar to tuberculosis of lungs. It has effect on arresting rectal haemorrhage, which is different from bacillary dysentery or blood discharge of a person suffering from haemorrhoids. In phyto-therapy it is reported as substitute for Senega. Useful in bronchitis, pneumonia and asthma. A very recent study has showed statistically significant (p<0.001) analgesic and anti-inflammatory activity of Acalypha indica in mice.
