Leucorrhoea is a white, yellowish, or greenish-white viscid discharge from the vagina resulting from inflammation or congestion of the uterine or vaginal mucous membrane. A vaginal discharge is considered normal until there occurs changes in its characteristics like it turns yellow or green, develops an offensive odour, and is accompanied by itching, irritation or pain, which can be due to infection, hormonal imbalance or malignancy. It can originate from the vagina, ovaries, fallopian tubes or most commonly, from the cervix.
