A tissue remedy of great power for obesity and non-toxic goitre, exophthalmic goitre. Suited for cold, torpid individuals, with cold, clammy skin, loose and flabby rolls of fat and pendulous belly. The rapidity of Digestion is increased and flatulence diminished. In cases of obstinate constipation. The act of digestion is no longer accompanied by flushing of the face, fullness, weight in epigastric region and fits of heat towards head.
It is also indicated for the cases of thyroid enlargement in obese subjects. Intolerable headache, forehead feels as if compressed by an iron ring. There is a sense of suffocation especially during menses. For functional derangement of the menstrual function depending upon some fault of nutrition, or from plethora or excessive obesity. Amenorrhoea with dysmenorrhoea also comes under this remedy’s action.
