The Mimulus fear is less acute than the terror of Rock Rose and differs from the Aspen fear of unknown origin, for the sufferer is afraid or nervous, for some known reason. The Mimulus people are normally quiet and retiring and they hide their fears. They are tongue-tied, and the mouth may go dry when they try to speak, but on occasions they talk quickly and much to cloak their nervousness. They are shy, blush easily and may stutter or stammer. When ill, they are afraid to move in case the pain returns and are afraid of growing worse to the extent that they may not recover, or that they may lose their job. Fear of worldly things, illness, pain, accidents, poverty, of dark, of being alone, of misfortune. The fears of everyday life. We fear only the things we dislike and hate, so that love, understanding and courage are the great positive qualities of the Mimulus type.
